George Mason University

George Mason University is one of the sixteen public 4-year colleges in Virginia. The campus is located in a suburb, in Fairfax.

According to the NCES 2017 report, a total of 35,984 students attend the school. In the 2017 fall enrollment, 3,489 freshman students enrolled, and approximately 3,070 students returned for their sophomore year (which makes its freshman retention rate 88%). Every year 71% of the graduating class students graduate in 150% of the time it takes to complete their studies.

George Mason University’s in-state tuition for the 2017-2018 academic year was $8,672, and fees were $3,252. Out-of-state tuition and fees for the same period were $31,118 and $3,252 respectively.
